Eugene Monroe Announced His Retirement

After unexpectedly being fired by Baltimore Ravens, offensive tackle Eugene Monroe in the offseason is not absence of next team, but he chose to retire.

Monroe formally announced his retirement. He said the main reason for his retirement is the worry about concussion and long-term health. 29-year-old Monroe in 2009 was selected by the Jacksonville Jaguars. He played 93 games in his seven-year career. He was traded to the Ravens in 2013. After his first season in the team, he signed a five-year contract.

But Monroe soon was not in the plan of the team. This offseason Baltimore Ravens has being trade him. Since the transaction negotiations, Monroe was not allow to participate in mini-camp.
